Thanks for the sale! The SL3 woofer arrived in excellent condition and is operational.

Well, an update on my SL3. Miller Sound did a fantastic job reconing the woofer. I am impressed with the quality of the work and super fast turn-around. And all for 85.00. As for sound, sounds just as good as if it were in the original condition.

Thank you! Yes, I have electronics background and have done mods on tube amps (Marshalls). The ML replacements will require modification to the cab. I love my SL3s and I'm typically in contact with Dana and decided to have the speaker re-coned and will also purchase one posted in another thread.

I'm sure I blew a woofer as it distorts at low-moderate levels. Just noticed it the other day. No issues with the amp (Swapped channels, etc.). So, I know ML does not make the original anymore and they have replacements that will require retrofitting and are very expensive to the tune of...

Update- I did swap the IC, however, that did not solve the issue. I sent the board in to ML and it was the Dynamic Expansion Circuit which only cost me 75.00 including shipping. The SL3 is now sounding great!

Sure did. I spoke with ML and they suggested the IC swap which is done, then to do a RMA to check the power supply. Just wondering if anyone else has had this issue.

I have a pair of SL3s and noticed that one (AKA right channel) is less powerful than the right channel and distorted. I replaced the IC chip and still the same issue. I did the usual tests as in swapping cables, switch each speaker to the opposite channel, changed amps, etc. Still the right...

Yes Dana at ML suggested the same troubleshooting methods. So I will swap out PS and see if that's it or the panel.

I now have the same problem. One panel is near 2X less output and sounds weak in comparison to my other SL3. So is this a panel issue?

I have a nice set of ML SL3s and just noticed that one panel is weaker and not as clear in regards to sound and the other sounds excellent. I tested amps, preamp, etc. to narrow it down to one speaker. Any thoughts?
