An entirely reasonable question. The way I see it, a "good" power cord (as it immediately follows a high quality power conditioner) is important to help filter and/or shield any last vestages of supply noise that may eventually propagate through a component's power supply and into the audio...

Awesome! I still remember the first time I heard MLs (Aureus) at a dealer in San Diego back in the early 90s when they first came out. Loved them! Hope you enjoy them to the fullest!

For the more Baroque tolerant among us ;) I highly recommend this wonderful set of Boyce Symphonies. Just came in the mail today and it's spinning away as I type. Really very pleasant stuff IMO. Very good SQ and polished performances as expected from Mr. Pinnock and company.

Cantique goosebumps... and then some! BTW, the audience needs to be summarily executed for such an unimpassioned response. A standing ovation (on tip-toes) was the absolute minimum requirement after that incredible performance. Now to go see if I can find that CD.

I once owned the SF Amati Homage and held on to them for only a few months. No where near the magic of MLs. Not even close to the CLX. That said, you could pick up 10 pairs of Homage for what one pair of Aidas would set you back (way back). Not that I haven't heard wonderful sounding SF based...

I have two on order. ;) In reality though, I literally do not own a watch. I find that my iPhone keeps pretty decent time. Does the trick for me. Now, what I really need is an iPad controlled iThing cabinet.

+1 Over on AA someone had posted Brahm's Requiem. I looked through my library to find I owned an outstanding Robert Shaw SACD that I had completely forgotten about... been listening to it this morning. Wow... beautiful doesn't begin to describe it!
