My new APL Hifi NWO-2 :)

The FE feet are excellent They do much to the sound and they fit the Summits perfectly in the sense they are adjustable in height so you can trim the bass of the Summits. They remved some vibrations of the bass section and cleaned up the Summits sound from top to bottom.

Too much bass makes the pnale sound bad-that`s a NO NO :) My settings are: -3.5 at 25 and -0.25 at 50Hz.

THe amp works very well indeed, it rarely goes out of class A :) It plays all the frequencies extremely well and doesn`t emphasize anything, it just plays what`s there :)

No absorption there, I`ll use broadband absorbers and Helmholz to tame the bass, these are ONLY for diffusion of the Summits backwave :)

Yep, the diffusors are made out of real wood :) The once who have tested them say they work exceptionally well :) The X350.5 gets HOT HOT HOT! It drawn 600watts continuously from the net and fin temp. is 20-25 deg. celsius over room temp.

A pic of the new and specially designed diffusors for mounting behind the Summits to get control of the rear dispersion. The same manufacturer is making side reflex diffusors for me as well as broadband absorbers and Helmholts resonators :)

Roberto: With my Summits and my friends`CLS and ReQuest I don`t agree that toeing the MLs out neccessarily means moving the soundfield backwards, I experience this means moving the voice forwards into the room. :)

If I shine a light on my Summits I see a streak of light about 2 inches from the inside. The incredible thing is that the Summits manage this wide placement without a hitch, They make an incredible soundstage this way, with depth, width and pinpint placement. They have it all!!!!!!!!

I`m waiting for my NWO-1 as the rack will have room for 3 components, Pass, NWO-1 and the Shunyata Hydra 8 :) In the top box of the LAguna pack there are 3 Apex feet with silicone nitride balls :)

The NWO-1 is reported to be a fanastic player, I also like the simplicity by having source and preamp all in one box :) The soundpanels on the ceiling were used in my earlier home theater setup using JMLAB Altoutopia BEs, I just haven`t taken then down yet :)
