System #165 (Summit, Descent, Passage, Stage)

benleey, when I retire, I could move to Eastern Europe with my wife who is Russian. Its just an option and one of the main problems is what do I do with all the stereo equipment and CD's :)

Robin, that's right, I remember now where Calsitoga is. Me and my wife went on vacation to San Francisco in August 2004 and we took an one day trip to Napa Valley where I visited a lot of the wineries. I specially loved Sterling winery. When the Los Angeles Martin Logan Club meet at one of our...

Thanks Robin, the system was a 5.1 HT in a small 1930ish beach house around 1998 to 2001, but the wiring from the house was poor and the HT couldn't operate at full protenal. Please notice the custom table that fits a 36 inch HDTV on top with a Martin Logan Logos center underneath. The amps...

benleey, I see from viewing the posts, you owned the Sequel IIs then upgraded to the new Summit. I owned the SL3 for 8 years and just upgraded to the Odyssey. Therefore your upgrade was more vast bypassing 2 versions. What can you tell me about the new Summit and how it sounds compared to the...

    System #169 (Statement e2, Aerius)

When I first got into Martin Logas I put them into a 5.1 system; SL3, Scripts, & NHT Sub Two, http://home.ix.netcom.com/~philox/_uimages/MLScreen.jpg but I was in a small beach house. When I moved to an inner valley of southern Calif I converted the system into a stereo by upgrading to mono...

Would like to hear a 4.0 specially with statements I know that your down mixing but I am so used to hearing the voice mix out from a center in a 5.1 system. Doe's what normally play in the center float inbetween the main speakers more so than a stereo?

Did you ever move? Robin, I see your logo everywhere, looked at your system, and read where you were moving to Washington. Did you ever move and were ever to spread those Acsents out as well as the rest of the system?

the WB, Is that a photo of Leonard Cohen? I am also a Leonard Cohen fan as well as the other Canadian poetic song writer Bruce Coc-burn. I believe I saw Leonard Cohen in concert during his "I'am your Man" tour. Hummm...the program wont let me spell Bruce's last name, so I took out a letter. I...

TomDac, yes I was one of the first on the old site. What happen to it? Well I upgraded the speakers but not the carpet. We are planning wood floors but if your a home owner as well as a high end audio owner, there is always something happening to your money. The stereo looks great but the carpet...

HT Marriage Cherian, I am guessing that your special other wants the audio system out of sight? By the way, you wrote "ML" 2 channel...your going to have 2 systems? I have a HT in the family room but it has 4 in-wall speakers, a small Sunfire sub, with a BK receiver to keep the wife happy. I...

Twich, yes but your turntable is to die for. My Rega doesn't have enough magentic protection around the center hub because my Grado Sonata cart can pick up a hum when the LP ends...not bad though. I collect mostly Jazz records and specially the 180 grams. Jazz needs the smooth sound from a LP...

The system you got is great for a small room...I see several systems in this forum that have speakers that are too big...I should know I have my SL3's in a small beach house...the 3rd photo down is that system. There was no room for the speakers to breath. Therefore I think your rear speakers...

Cherian, WOW you got the speakers from E-Bay and matched it to Carver amps? What were the Carver amps running before? The friend that turned me onto Martin Logan's was running a Carver stereo amp into Arius speakers until he developed a ground hum. Do you have any problems?

The Horn Room Beat, the south wall starts out as a one-story where the speakers are located around 2 feet away from the back wall, but the ceiling slopes up to a two-story north wall where my listening seat is. The room is 16 feet long and 19 feet wide, yet opens up to the west with the dinning...
