California Audio Show - created by Calfornians for Californians!

if it's produced "for californians" why would any of the rest of us want to go?

    Why do ML panels die?

As every other electrostatic speaker is damaged by smoke and humidity, I'll be curious to see how you've solved this issue.

    Why do ML panels die?

Couldn't agree with you more on your comments on the sound and I also had 1+1's!

    Why do ML panels die?

What I'm the most curious about is that every other electrostatic speaker (Quad, Acoustat, Sound Labs, etc etc,) at some point in time does degrade and has to be replaced. What makes the Sanders panel impervious to EVER needing replacement? Also, while we are on the topic of lifetime warranty...

    Why do ML panels die?

The point I'm trying to make is that NONE of the high end audio companies are that big in the scheme of things. Most electronic products will either fail when they first power up, after about 100 hours or about 1000 hours. Ask any EE about this and most will give you the same answer. The...

    Why do ML panels die?

It's not like Roger Sanders last company stayed in business for a terribly long period of time. Why are you beating this horse to death? I can see someone with a pair of Summits or CLX's being jumpy about this, but if you bought a pair of ML's over 10 years ago, they weren't that expensive of...

Didn't reliaze azimuth is that important - pics

Soundstage and channel balance. Have you fine tuned how level your table is as well? An easy tweek but yields a big gain in sound... Have to say I'm really loving the fozgometer!

    Do I need an EQ?

I suggest the Manley Massive Passive. I certainly love mine, but do not use it for room correction, only to clean up recordings I'm not happy with...

Original Linn LP12 or new generation table?

If you like the basic sonic characteristics of your linn, you probably won't like a Scout.....

    Motion Series - speaker review - 2.1

I'd still add a sub too and said so in the review. The ACI sapphires are great, but ACI is no longer in business. And those are much bigger speakers that really need a $600 pair of Sound Anchors to sound their best, so it's getting considerably more expensive than a pair of Motion 4's...

Picking Up a Jolida FX 10

10 watts per channel may not be enough juice to really grab those speakers. But if you like what you hear at a low level, stepping up to something in the 35-50 watt per channel level might be more your cup of tea....

    Sunday Morning Music

Just had two days of the "deep tracks" channel while on the road... Some were a little too deep! Even for me! :)

    Replacing 12AX7 with 6922

The 6922 is not a replacement for the 12AX7, AU7 or AT7. The 5751 can be swapped for the 12AX7, though it does have lightly lower gain... The 6922 can be swapped with 6DJ8 and 7308 You can get a lot of good info at www.thetubestore.com Best of luck

    iPad is here!

Just a software upgrade but I really don't need multitasking... Not an issue for me. Sure is nice carrying five less pounds in the briefcase this weekend!

So I tried to talk to the wife about the CLX... Oops

I can certainly play Metallica at ear bleeding levels with my CLX's... I guess the Gotham sub helps. :)

    iPad is here!

James: I loved it when Doonesbury was goofing on the Newton! When HP came out with the first Tablet PC I really enjoyed that computer for the same reasons as the iPad. Smaller size and the touch screen. The handwriting recognition was pretty good, but I just used it as a big notepad. Didn't...
