Exchanging the vistas for the 11a. Good seeing Shawn at DaVinci Media again, excited to put some miles on.

New living room system. I was hesitant to move from vignettes to the SLM-XL line in the front, but I have been very pleased. I would even say it was an upgrade after listening to some of my reference material. Rear speakers are Helios 100s. Subs are SVS 13 Ultras.

Rough set up at new place. More to follow. Currently 7.2 with Focus, Vistas, dual descent Is, Frescos, and Helios 100s.

Motif to focus was night and day. More of a floor standing speaker type feel and the speaker is massive compaired to the motif. Mine is temporarily paired with vistas and I love the sound.

How would one, in a more combined and less dedicated space, go about similar (well, not even close) results without the ability to place a sub right behind the main listening position? More subs in more locations?

Pink Floyd DSOTM or wish you were here. I usually listen in 5.1 but the stereo recording is well done too. Depth, width, and you can really place the vocals/instruments.

Some deals to be had on audiogon; I see a few pairs under 10k. I would but the size and look would not pass in our combined space.

What talent. I really enjoyed the beginning and end. I closed my eyes and it played like a story. I would tweak the middle a bit but that’s just my ears. Thanks for sharing.

Descent I. What a sub, no distortion and bass for days. Fast, accurate, omnipresent. Well designed.
