No. I remember when I setup the APTV i was going to use Ethernet but it asked if I wanted to use my iPhone to set it up. I chose yes. did it that way and have never had any audio dropouts. I have had to restart a few times due to apps freezing up etc.. but never audio issues.

I have had zero issues with my AppleTv 4k. No audio dropouts. Gen 1 Gen 2 both no problems. I use it almost every night. My opinion to why Apple has not addressed these audio dropouts that some people are having is that the overwhelming majority of owners are not having these issues. Otherwise...

The Emotiva sounded dull and lifeless? Unless it’s underpowered How does the Amplifier change the sound? IMO it has more to do with your speakers and or the content your playing

I certainly don’t binge out on Atmos programming everyday. Watch a lot of sports news etc.. Seems frustrating for sure.

I was using a Denon AVR X6200 with a Sony LCD 65930e. Hooked Up Gen 1 APTV4k hdmi through the Denon. No issues. I now have the Gen 2 with a Marantz AV7706 Sony Oled 77a80j. Running the APTV Through the Marantz. Belkin HDMI 2.1 cable. Netflix,HBO, Apple TV Disney plus. DV/Atmos works No problem

The biggest problem could be that the majority of APTV4k users have no issues. If they did it would be all over Apples website along with numerous other media reports. I have both the Gen 1 and Gen 2 and have zero issues with DV/Atmos.

No problem with my XPA7 Gen 3. Dead silent No hum etc..

I have Motion 60XTi, 50XTi . Using Emotiva XPA7 Is this something I should be concerned about or does this only apply to the Electrostatics.

I have a solution to the problem. Take out every device that uses HDMI. There you go problem solved

I am also using the Belkin Cable. When I switch inputs on my Marantz to APTV4K I get about a 1 second signal loss. After that everything comes up and works no problem.

I have had the APTV4K Gen 2 since August

I have a Marantz AV7706 with Gen2 APTV4K and have zero issues with Dolby Atmos or Dolby Vision.
