It has been rumored these two speakers will be replaced next year. Do you think they will be replaced by one speaker as the Prodigy and Odyssey were replaced with the Summit? I am guessing a $4-$5,000 speaker that will be between the Aeon and Ascent size wise. Yet sound louder than the present...

I love that store,a great example what a high end store should be like. They care about the music and not the equipment. Gotta go by and hear them now.

Don't forget about the new Stage speaker,it will have the capability to play as stereo mains too. That speaker will figure somewhere in the plans of the Aeon and Ascent replacements.

Is it true that tube watt is stronger than SS watt? So a 100 watt tube amp would be just as strong with a 300 watt SS amp?

This is subjective...............But the Aerius has that timeless look,while the Aeon...............well,its subjective.

Seriously,wouldn't it be nice if ML could do a limited run of Aerius. Update the stat with the latest technology and include a better woofer. You have to admit,the Aerius help broaden ML's image,and subjectively has to be one of the most beautiful speakers ever made. A black Aerius with Xstat...

The Ascent and Summit are already similar in size,and the Summit is able to match the Prodigy output at that size. I would suspect the Ascent replacement to shrink to maybe the size of of the Aeon with powered Sub. The output would be the same as the present size Ascent but a smaller footprint...

True what Anthony said. I used to be a skeptic like Kevin,then I heard Nordost,the rest is history. If you hear the differences fine,if not then buy Monster Cable or something like that. There are however some outrageous claims being made out there,so use your own ears.

Spike,doesn't your amp only put out 60w? How can they drive your stats? Are your highs rolled off?

Class D,per their web page,they will literally drive any speaker,any load.

Zip,you are confusing me,why would I send a high powered signal to the subs? You would think that the expensive crossover they are using in this speaker would take care of that,thus leaving the amp to power the stat only. So again,why feed a high power signal to "powered" amps?

If the subs are powered,it should be easier to find an amp to power the stats right? What? Roughly 2-4 ohms on the stat. It will be interesting to see how you can bi-wire a single Stat panel?
