How do you like your PS Audio M700 Monoblocks? Are these from the “Stellar” line?

I want to extract the audio portion of a few UTube videos, and convert them to AIFF before saving them on my Mac music server. I know that there are software packages that will do this, but has anyone here tried them? Any recommendations?

Here's a picture of my well-shielded SUT. Not much to be seen here. It's a simple circuit, with the inputs connected to the primaries of the transformers, and the outputs connected to the secondaries. No resistors on the secondaries.

I got back from a friend a power conditioner I had lent him. I plugged it into my DAC. That, with the conditioner plugged into my preamp, makes for amazing sound....running out of superlatives here.

I agree with you. I just got seduced by the sound of tubes. My tube preamps have been reliable. Not so my tube power amps. Capacitor failures have been spectacular. I also hate lugging those monsters. You really got me thinking!

I know that Cary is popular with a few people here, but I would never buy something where you have to move six components in order to replace one. I heaved a huge sigh of relief when I got rid of my Dynaco stuff, and replaced it with ARC, on PCBs.

I certainly was impressed by Roberto's system! That said, it was three years ago, when we both had the Audiolab MDAC. DSD does sound promising. I'm hoping to visit Roberto later this year.
