Apple Spatial Audio on ML Atmos HT

While it would be more difficult to do and my wife would probably never approve, I would love to add two SVS Prime Elevations to the fronts right up to the ceiling to enable Auro3D. For now, that is off into the future.

Balanced Force vs. Dynamo - main effect more bass or less vibration?

I can't answer your question above but my 800X is on a tile floor with cement under it and until I added the SVS isolation feet it did vibrate enough to cause a lot of buzzing. With the SVS isolation feet they just put out bass and no buzzing. Best $49 you can spend.

    Double stack ML subs?

Correct, a single 800X with both Classic 9's measured from listening position with REW.

Apple Spatial Audio on ML Atmos HT

I just completed setting up my full 5.1.2 Dolby Atmos setup, configuration is all "WISA Wireless", Front Let & Right mains ML Classic 9s on 250W Mono-blocks with EISA receivers, SoundSend Transmitter, Center ML Motion 8 on 200W Monoblock using 2 channel receiver with second channel connected to...

    Double stack ML subs?

I am attaching my measurement of my system's bass response with ARC enabled of my Class 9's with 800X sub.

    Double stack ML subs?

I like the ease of use of ARC Genesis but it makes me wonder whether Dirac or some other room correction would do a better job of reducing or eliminating those nulls.

    Double stack ML subs?

I assume this is an REW run comparison. How does this graph compare to the ARC Genesis generated graph. While it appears that the ARC correction is doing some correction, it appears to me to be minimal and does nothing for the major suck outs at 58Hz, 95Hz, 118Hz, 170Hz and 210Hz. Is this a...

    Double stack ML subs?

Have you compared the response curve from REW to the response curve of a sub corrected with ARC Genesis? I have and they don't match even at ⅓ smoothing. Can someone else on here do the comparison? First measure a given sub with no correction using ARC Genesis and with REW and then do the...

    Double stack ML subs?

Would you expect an $800 subwoofer to outperform a $2K+ subwoofer at the bottom end? I wouldn't. Would you expect the room gain center frequency to be identical in two completely different rooms? Would you expect the same deep base boost value and center frequency with two different subs and...

    Double stack ML subs?

I am starting to wonder about the accuracy of the Anthem ARC Genesis system. I have attached my measurement of my ML 800X subwoofer. Mind you my room is different and the sub is different and my placement is different; however, compare the 210 to my 800X. Our rooms are showing the same 200Hz...

Summit X - Solid State Amp Opinions

I know that this is going to sound like heresy but I connected up the ML Forte 100W/channel amp with Anthem Room Correction (ARC) to my Classic 9s along with an 800X that also has ARC and after running the ARC correction which tunes the speaker and sub together, the sound was better than when I...

Discussion About the Differences Between Different Panel Sizes

I may take you up on your offer in early August. I have my daughter and grandson coming to visit this week and they will be here for a week then they and my wife go to CA and Hawaii for 3 weeks and I will be here by myself so I will have time to take a ride up and listen.

Discussion About the Differences Between Different Panel Sizes

@JonFo, your post brings up an interesting thought for further discussion. In looking at who besides Martin Logan produces Electrostatic speakers today, the other three vendors all seem to only produce a large panel size. The Sander's Sound System, the Model 10e is a flat panel hybrid with a...

Discussion About the Differences Between Different Panel Sizes

It's logical that the sound stage would widen, as well as the sweet spot since 30 degrees of a larger circle is a larger space, especially as one is likely to be further removed as the speakers get larger and also occupy a larger room. I was able to directly compare the Classic 9's to the ESL's...

Discussion About the Differences Between Different Panel Sizes

My experience is limited. I recently purchased a pair of Classic 9's and prior to that I has the ESL's. I have listened to a comparison between the Expression 13A's and the Neolith in a dealer show room. My general conclusion is that as the panel area increases, the sound seems fuller...

    DC Blocker

I'm not sure where all of this talk of DC being on the power lines comes from. In the early days of electricity DC was the power generated but they could only deliver it short distances because DC loses voltage as the distance from the source increases or requires larger and larger conductors...

Recommendations on purchase - Older used Ethos or new Electromotion ELS X ?

I'm not sure why you are concerned about the difference in foot print between the Classic 9s and the ESLX. The former is 10.4"x25.4" =264"sq and the latter is 9.4"x20.7" = 195"sq. In other words an inch wider with the other 5" extending to the rear. In the worst case you would extend into the...

Apple Music Lossless Hi-Res Audio Coming Soon

I have never heard of a directional HDMI cable. None of the HDMI cables I have including the newest 2.1 versions are directional.

    Avoiding re-amplification

I certainly missed that it was an April fools joke but I thought it was an awesome idea which is why I wondered what happened to it.
