Connect LFE and stereo inputs to Descent at the same time?

Have you checked the manual? I have BF210's, and you can connect both stereo and LFE at same time, though best not to feed signal to both simultaneously.

How about a Zoom session to commemorate the new site and 13th anniversary of our visit to ML in Lawrence, KS?

Thanks to all who participated in the Zoom session. It was fun, especially hearing about your systems, and putting the faces to the names! We all owe Tom and Jason our gratitude for creating this site way back when! If there's enough interest, perhaps we can do it again down the road.

How about a Zoom session to commemorate the new site and 13th anniversary of our visit to ML in Lawrence, KS?

I just PM'd everybody the Zoom link. I had to send in batches, due to a limit of 5 recipients per message. It's OK for Stereoman to invite Jason. Please do NOT publicly share the link, and please do NOT invite any non MLOC Forum Members without asking permission here first. If you did not...

Tilting forward the Renaissance ESL 15A

Unless you have an extremely low seat, I suspect you're just changing the angle of the reflected rear wave (off the windows). How far are the stat panels from the windows? Have you tried keeping them vertical, but pulling them further out (>48" if possible)? Other options might be to add...

How about a Zoom session to commemorate the new site and 13th anniversary of our visit to ML in Lawrence, KS?

Thanks for the tips Jon. I'll look into it. FYI, I'll PM everybody the Zoom link Friday morning, once I have a more complete list of participants. In order to avoid "Zoombombing" I will NOT publicly post it in the Forum. Therefore, please reply in this thread if you wish to be included...

Pair of Aeon and Vantage for sale Tampa FL

Since you're in the Tampa Bay area, you might also want to join our local Suncoast Audiophile Society (link in my signature below). We've been having Zoom meetings during the pandemic, but also have a (somewhat) active Discussion Forum with a "Classifieds" section.

    New Impression 11A's

I presume you'll feed the Yamaha pre-outs to the Parasound amp. Unless you plan on blasting hard rock/heavy metal at 90+ dB, I would expect that Parasound amp to be more than sufficient (160 watts into 8 Ω, and 240 watts into 4 Ω). Ideally, it would be nice if it doubles output yet again into...

ML has 20% off sale on Masterpiece series

Just noticed this Summer promotion on their website... Premium HiFi Speakers for Home Theater & Stereo Pretty good deal for those interested in the Masterpiece line (Renaissance, Expression, etc.)

Any good media streamers coming out, or just released lately?

True! I'm still using my old Squeezebox Touch (with the Enhanced Digital Output app to handle up to 24/192 PCM). Even though Squeezeboxes are no longer manufactured, Michael Herger (still employed by Logitech), and the open-source developer community, have kept the Squeezebox/LMS platform up...

How about a Zoom session to commemorate the new site and 13th anniversary of our visit to ML in Lawrence, KS?

OK. I've scheduled a Zoom session for Saturday, June 20 at 4 PM (EST), to accommodate those in Australia, Britain, and elsewhere. I'll PM everybody with the Zoom link a couple days before (once we have a better head count). I presume most of you are familiar with Zoom (or similar video...

    Summit/ready?

The stat panels should turn on and reach full power immediately, once you feed them a music signal. Same for the woofers. I've never noticed a time lag.

    Summit making popping noise

Have you vacuumed the stat panels recently? Might just be dust/dirt.

    UPS recommendation

I'm using a SurgeX XR315 (SurgeX - The Best Home Theater Power Protection 120V) for my Expressions. It doesn't condition or regulate the voltage, but has provided bullet-proof surge protection, as I live in the "lightning capital of the world" (or, at least, North America)!

How about a Zoom session to commemorate the new site and 13th anniversary of our visit to ML in Lawrence, KS?

Amey01 (across the pond) suggested 4 PM (EST) as better (6 AM for him), and that sounds like a fair compromise. I'll wait for a little more feedback before finalizing that time.

How about a Zoom session to commemorate the new site and 13th anniversary of our visit to ML in Lawrence, KS?

Is Sat 6/20 at 3 PM (EST) OK for y'all? If not, please suggest another time (preferably on that same date). To avoid "Zoom Bombing" I won't publicly post the link here, but I'll keep tracking responses and PM everybody that has "RSVP'd" here as wanting to participate.

How about a Zoom session to commemorate the new site and 13th anniversary of our visit to ML in Lawrence, KS?

In June 2007, a group of us all got together for a weekend to tour the ML facilities in Lawrence, KS, and visit nearby Acoustic Sounds in Salina, KS. Although Tom, and others, from that original group have moved on to different gear and pursuits, a surprising number of us are still active on...

Ignorance is not bliss - newbie Aerius owner question

My understanding is that the perforated front panel merely attenuates the sound a bit, such that the effective transducer area, is reduced, rather than causing distortion. I think listening (and measurements) support that theory. FYI, here's a relevant excerpt from ML's website...
