Sub I have a lexicon mc12v5 which i can select 30hz as a crossover point.

Subs Yes ! I use 2 depth subs one behind each summit crossed over at 30hz when I listen to music they hardly ever turn on just with heavy organ music. Watching action movies the subs always turn on.

pictures agree would love to see them in there environment. cant listen to them probably never will.

Popping noise I do not feel it's the speaker! I feel the problem is the onkyo 838, to verify this try another speaker u might have laying around in place of the fresco! If not borrow one from where u purchased the fresco! If it still does it then it's the onkyo if not it's the fresco. Good luck!
