From what I've read and heard is all the speakers should be the same! I can't see how this could possible sound right! To many variables!

Tosh: no need to double up and double the price Mogami makes a heavier gauge cable just for magnetic speakers. Check there website!

Bernard: What speakers do u have? He only recommends this cable just for electrostatics speakers only not recommended for dynamic drivers, u will need a larger gauge cable like 10-12 gauge! Do u bi-amp? I have summits and I was able to use it because of my built in bass amps.

Bernard: the cable is Mogami W3082 got it at performance audio for $1.20 a foot. It's the same as terminating any cable! The shield I just twisted together and the core is stranded they are both 15ga. I used spades on the speaker end and used banana plugs on the amp end I covered all bare wire...

Stefan: Sanders cables are not that cheap they are professionally built to high standards , mine will be built by me with his recommended cable. U should read his white papers on speaker cable, very interesting! Thought I would give it a try!

I paid $1.20 a foot and I needed two 45' cables which came to $108.00. Can u tell me what kimber would charge for there cable at these lengths ? Thanks

Since the summits have built in bass amps why would it make any difference on what type of cable u use for the bass? Is the cable just used for the stat panels and the signal is jumpered down to the bass drivers? If this makes sense could u please explain how this works when u have built in amps...

I Ordered the sander design esl coax cable and plan on making it ASAP and installing it. Should be interesting! Hope it works as well as described!

Has anyone every tried using the flashlight routine uaing the center of the stat panel instead of a third of the panel? I'm trying it now and I think it could be promising but I'm sure it will make the sweet spot narrower yet but with less reflections off the side walls.

Roberto: went as far per Martin logan to exchange panels and the noise followed the panel.

One of my summits makes a crackling sound when its first turned on, I can't tell what section of the panel its coming from and it doesn't make this noise again until the blue light goes off and it's powering down. Any suggestions on what i can try to do to correct this? Or look for? Thank u

I would love to hear his speaker setup with his amps, cable and crossover! How do u feel they compare to the M/L's? I talked with him and he's very interesting on why he went with electrostatic speakers. He has a 30 day home trial but I can't afford it.

Since the montis has powered bass, ur concern is just the stat panel. U could go with tubes but they are limitred when the stat panel goes down to .7 ohms the tubes will roll off the high end. A good solid state amp that can handle the low impedence like bryston would be your best bet. U...
