    Esl x vs esl

I'd certainly use ARC below 500hz to even out the bass peaks in your room. If not, why even buy a preamp with that capability?

Martin Logan 13A's and a subwoofer pairing question.

The MLs would be my choice. I am a much bigger fan of a good sealed sub vs a huge ported sub unless all you want is LFE room shake. Plus I really prefer a sub with room EQ like ARC.

    Esl x vs esl

ESL X will have a more dynamic range capability and deeper bass. Just make sure you can bring the speakers off the front wall at least a foot (more is ALWAYS better with electrostats of course). The lower you can crossover the woofer section, the more the panel is contributing to the lower...

    Krell Class A iBias Experiences

Congrats on the new amps! I look forward to reading more when you get them burned in. Pass is one of the best Solid State amp makers out there and I'm very jealous.

Renaissance 15a LCR or Statement 40xw LCR

Audio Advice installed a really nice Statement 40Xw system in a stealth theater a few months ago. the owner was a big ESL fan but didn't want speakers sitting out in the room. He moved his stats to a different room and is thrilled with the results. I

    Integrated amp advice for ML

I came very close to pulling the trigger on the Arcam SA30 integrated. It sounded great and has Dirac Live which is a big advantage when it comes to blending a sub with your stats. Don't let the size fool you, it is a substantial piece of gear. Arcam SA30 Integrated Amplifier

    Integrated amp advice for ML

I use the Edge A with my ESL 11As and It is a wonderful combo. I listened to a few amps in and around this price point and the Edge A was a clear winner to my ears. I think the touch of warmth that this amp has in its midrange mates very well with the resolution capability of the ESLs.

    Dirac room correction and ELS’s

I agree that you should run Dirac below about 500hz or so. that is where the woofers come in and that is where the room tends to take over and cause issues in the upper and lower bass.

    Hey Everyone!

I sell Martin Logan Speakers and have had great luck with the Rotel RA1592 II . It is a very nice sounding amp and puts out 350 per channel at 4 Ohms. I personally use the Edge A from Cambridge Audio with my ESL 11as. Even at 200wpc into 4 ohm, it is more than enough to drive them to great...

Video of your system playing music

That was a great video. With headphones, you could hear the very subtle pops/cracks from the vinyl when you changed.

Just got a pair of 13a's. I'm now trying to use the ML PBK.

"Flat" bass will always seem a bit lean at first since the bass peaks have been reduced by the EQ. I'd recommend living with it as is for a few days and let your ears adjust a bit. You may find that the result is actually spot-on. After that, you can always go in dial the bass up a notch or two.

    Martin Logan esl 11a parings

I found the Anthem STR to sound a bit bright and harsh myself. that is why I opted for the Edge A integrated. IMO, Cambridge Edge is a very good match with ML Electrostats. I know Cambridge Audio isn't considered a go to "high end" brand, but they really did a great job on their flagship amps...

    Martin Logan esl 11a parings

I second Qobuz. To me it is the better sounding service and you don't need to get mixed up in all that MQA nonsense.

    Martin Logan esl 11a parings

I've had the ESL 11As now for a couple months. Pairing them with the Cambridge Audio Edge A integrated amp. I feel this is a very nice combo. The Edge is a warmer Class XD amp with heavy bias in Class A so you get a sweet, engaging sound. Not a hint of glare or brightness in the upper midrange...

The Audio Analyst The Martin Logan Story w/ Gayle Sanders!

I got to hear Gayle's personal system back at a dealer training in the early 2000s. He had the mighty Statements in his finished basement set up with Krell FPB amps and a Conrad Johnson reference preamp. that was a really cool experience. He is a true gentleman and has a huge passion for...

The Audio Analyst The Martin Logan Story w/ Gayle Sanders!

I was at Noel's Monster Mansion out in Hillsboro back in the mid 2000s. He had ML Prodigys with Krell FPB monoblocs in his main listening room.

    Martin Logan 11a vs 13a

The larger the panel, the more air is moved and the more dynamic the sound can be. People who mostly into vocals, chamber music and acoustic performances can get away with the smaller panels, but if you like big band music, orchestra and Rock music, the larger panel will be more dynamic and...

    Pioneer SA9800 or Marantz model 15 amp/Logans Aeon I

Make sure what you buy is stable at 2ohms and below. a good sign an amp can do that is that it doubles its power into 4ohm. I like the Rotel RB1552 for its build quality and stability into low impedance loads. Plus, it has a great sound to it.
