    Amp Break-in

Thereafter, I've come across some brands claiming 600hrs... seriously?......good read and funny too. But 25 days for burn-in??? Hold in Willis

    Amp Break-in

Yea kinda what the manufacturer also recommends.

    Amp Break-in

Hahaha I know right. A simple question...don't want to start a fight

    Amp Break-in

Since most amplifiers require some burn-in, is it safe to assume a receiver needs it too?

    DAC Do or Don't?

    makes sense.

    DAC Do or Don't?

Gotcha...maybe once all this new gear finishes burning in, I'll revisit the dac idea. After all I would like to get the best sound (I can afford) from the gear I have.

    DAC Do or Don't?

Nice setup...bet it sounds great. Now instead of the receiver decoding the music from Tidal, the dac does it.

    DAC Do or Don't?

What does the rest of your system consist of? What source are you using for music? And you say this made a noticeable difference in your music?

    DAC Do or Don't?

Is this a dac, a streamer or both?

    Parasound A31 Gain setting maybe...

I'll give it a shot tomorrow.

    Parasound A31 Gain setting maybe...

The best way to describe it...as the movie plays...its completely random...you can hear very slight dips in the sound as it transitions left to right or vice versa...mostly when the volume increases in the track.

    Parasound A31 Gain setting maybe...

Plex is doing all the codecs (h.264, h.265) for all containers (mp4, mkv, aac, ac3, etc). Its also doing all the transcoding when needed. Plex is running on a pretty beefy Synology NAS. There's a lip sync setting in the receive which I leave set to auto. Should I start with running Audessey then...

    Parasound A31 Gain setting maybe...

Crap you know what...I have not ran Audessey since connecting the amp . Maybe that could correct my timing issue?? Streaming movies via Plex direct connected over a gig network.

Marantz Cinema 50. Ran room correction.

    Parasound A31 Gain setting maybe...

Today was the first time watching a movie while breaking in the A31. Its connected to the pre-outs of my receiver (Marantz Cinema 50). I have the gains set to max on all 3 channels. Using the amp to drive my LCR, I have a distinct sound delay panning across the LCR only watching a movie. No the...

    ARC In Speakers...

I have a 17 year old Descent i and it started doing a similar thing like yours. I was able to isolate it to one of the drivers so I called ML and they recommended replacing. Unfortunately they wouldn't sell me one so I ended up buying a woofer from parts express and crossed my figures it would...

    ARC In Speakers...

Dang sorry to hear that. Think I'd be a little pissed if the amps went out in my subs.

Oh sweet didn't know we had a rep in the house. Good plug for future reference.

    I did a thing..

word on the street, the BF210 are beasts at a cool $3500 or an open box 1100X from Safe and Sound for $975. In my opinion, the 1100X are great subs for not so large spaces.

    I did a thing..

Went to three shows in Texas last year and honestly they all sounded decent. Show #1 - the 11As with the Marantz MM8077/AV8805A combo. Show #2 - the 15As with a McIntosh Amp/Pre-Pro combo (not sure the models). Show #3 - the 13As with a Anthem Amp/Pre-Pro combo (not sure the models).
