SOLD my CLX, to me again!

Indeed. But my experience is to get the right sub meaning not too big. For music my ML 1100 gives a better result than the 1600, which by contrast is better for films. I even have it set 3db lower for music than films - originally to avoid any turntable hiccups but actually gives a better...

Hello from England, looking for some info on SL3's

I always wonder with the comparison after a while mentioned. If you wount be able to say there is a difference then whats is the value by upgrading? But i doubt you wouldn't be able to hear a difference.

Hello from England, looking for some info on SL3's

If 11A or higher that's already the case. Well, you still need to feed them but it must draw very little effect, so would there be need to use a seperate amp.?

Then you need to define distorsion - I guess there will always be a bit not least from the loudspeakers. My take would be when you hear it. A bit like dynamic range.

2 Sets of ESL's for bigger sweet spot

As mentioned in my previous post, after considering the geometry it would result in a gap between the panels, so right you are. But as also mentioned by others the 30 degree angles is surely not a coincidence but a fine compromise. My setup is 12 feet between the fronts and 18 feet to my...

2 Sets of ESL's for bigger sweet spot

I do not think (passive) Bi-Amping will help or rather the Ethos woofer has its own amplifier (somehow Bi-Amped one could argue). In general, I do not find Bi-Amping very useful unless you have passive speakers whereby where the big power draw is for the woofer. This would mean power reserve to...

2 Sets of ESL's for bigger sweet spot

Maybe if they are placed next to each other the curve linear becomes 60 degrees instead of 30 - in that case I don't thing you would get any interferences - then this would also be an issue from the Neolits having a wide panel. For the lower notes two speakers placed close to each other this...

    Trickledown....

I think there is not much difference on DVD players if only used se a transporter of the digital signal. Some jitter perhaps. If decoding the audio then difference is surely bigger, but my AVR does a better job. Noice wise the dedicated player is surely much more quit.

    Trickledown....

And even so you might have to force your amp from 7.1 HD master audio to dolby atmos - I know i did before it worked.

New ML owner (ESL X) Amp Questions

As correct as that is most of these amos are stabel to 2 ohms. And do mind you tte deop is the high ens where the effect is low. ML themselv states this too having tested quite a number of amps/receiver. My advise is listen and make your choice based on what you like, and maybe not get too...

As long you don't need Atmos I think optical will do.

New ML owner (ESL X) Amp Questions

I drive mine with a bridged Arcam P429 (270W) so nut much more head room than you, and I have no urge for more (although I felt like you). If you're happy why change? If you have the budget for an upgrade to the Master's series maybe go for that one. (I'd personally also look at a Hegel - review...

Using Center channel speakers as Rears

I'd think the vertical dispersion would cause an issue. Putting it vertical will possible also limit the sweetspot. The EFX is a nice solution (I use the older version), but, of course, if you have space/budget for the classic 9 that too could be an option. I like the EFX myself.

    Jim Winey - RIP

To me the projector wins over the HDR TV. Vinyl wins over over other sourses. But why? I think these sources requires that you built yourself up to the event, meaning you start programming both your head and evening ahead. Projector the big big screen, big sound, the imperfect HDR image but a...

I can only say the same, but also from my old system.

    Jim Winey - RIP

A lot of guys says "this or that sounds so naturel". Always puzzled me how you judge this unless you have the original performed next to you or you compare in the mixing room as the engineer does it. And since, at least i don't, doos one not go with what sound the best? Goes with out saying that...
