    What about Cables ?

Thank you Brad and Bernard. Maybe he'll finally get IT but I'm not holding my breath. PS: Maybe he's trying to be the EW replacement for MLO since he was banned from this site, the "What's Best Forum" site and likely others I don't know about. Maybe that behavior come from being "obsessive".

    What about Cables ?

After all these discussions we've had regarding this issue I would have thought, by now, you would understand that there are differences of opinion on this O v S issue and you would show some level of respect for those who disagree with your EW driven views and not make insulting, disparaging...

    upgrade suggestions

Dave, I agree with your minimum distance from panel to back wall. In the 25 years or so that I had ML's, I used five feet as a guideline. Anything less than four feet will compromise the sonic performance of the speaker in areas of dimensionality and soundstage reproduction. Gordon

Well, here's my two cents. If the ML's are to be used for HT 85% of the time and we know that HT sound is totally manipulated by some sound engineer, I would not spend that amount of money on the ML's. It is also likely that the speakers will be placed close to the back wall further...

Why are we having all these people from ******** countries coming here?

    The DON / redux

Mark, I agree with your assessment with one caveat, that being that the governing body can control what the populace does including industry and other large polluters. China has a massive population but the government can effect changes if they wish to do so. And it appears they are trying to...

    The DON / redux

Hi Larry, Thanks for your thoughtful, respectable responses. I acknowledge that the nuclear option was previously used by the Democrats regarding the 60 vote threshold but they excluded Supreme Court nominees from this change. The rational being that these appointments are "lifetime" with far...

    The DON / redux

Hi Larry, Thanks for the post. Suffice to say that actions you see as positive, many, including me, view in the opposite manner. To cite two examples, gutting the EPA (and refusing to acknowledge the science behind climate change) is one. I really want coal to return as a major energy...

OMG!! CD jewel box cable lifters

Not. Way too expensive for me. This is really cheap, less visibly obtrusive and provides the same benefit. PS: Got the idea on the WBF forum.

OMG!! CD jewel box cable lifters

Hi all, As some may know, I've recently purchased a new speaker system for my new residence consisting of the Joseph Audio Pulsars and a single REL T7i sub with a Sub-Dude 2 platform. Been dialing it in over the last couple of months and have always heard about the potential static issue with...

Is the Martin Logan brand declining?

The Amazon reviews were pretty positive with the vast majority of them being posted in 2012. PS: I'm not sure what's the relevance to this thread but whatever.

    Merry Christmas

To all my ML amigos, have a great holiday and my best wishes for a happy, healthy 2018.

Is the Martin Logan brand declining?

Hi amigos, I can only speak for myself but here's my take but first a bit of history. I owned four different ML models over 25 years. From first to last, the CLS 2A's, the Aerius, the SL3 and finely the original Summit. I was a huge fan boy until I heard the MBL's at a CES show. As some may...

    The DON / redux

timm, I worked for forty five years and was "house poor" for thirty of those which means my house payment exceeded 50% of my net pay which I covered by my lonesome. For the last twenty years of my employment, I worked for a public agency. As you may know, government jobs don't pay a lot of...

    The DON / redux

Brad, I'll take that over watching sausage being made. One does wonder why polls indicate that Americans are against the new tax bill by a two to one margin. Gordon PS: Maybe I'm missing something but why watch the vote when you know how it's going to end?

    The DON / redux

Hi Brad, It's called partisan politics and grid lock. The only thing that can fix this is "term limits" on members of Congress and we know that will never happen. Have a great holiday. Best, Gordon

Hi timm, 45 does have his strengths. On a more serious note, have a wonderful holiday. Best, Gordon

    Looking for some surrounds

Hi Mark, There are so many good subs out there. I recently downsized speakers in my new house and purchased a single REL T7i to mate with my monitors. Couldn't be happier with the bass quality and the "blend" between the Pulsars and the REL. Best, Gordon

    Looking for some surrounds

Hi Chris, Def Tech makes outstanding HT speakers. I've installed two HT systems for my family members and was totally impressed by the price / performance ratio. If I were to buy HT speakers for my personal system, it would be Def Tech. You can purchase from Amazon and get the money back /...
