One of my Prodigy speakers always has the blue light lit, even if there is no audio signal (amplifier off). The other one works fine (turns on when there is a signal, then turns off after a period of time with no signal).
Anyone know what could cause that?

I had him repair mine. I would say they are about 80% the performance of brand new panels, and it cost me a very small fraction of the price.
There are a few threads about washing and trying different coatings, nothing really seems to work long term. There's a guy who refurbishes them rather effectively, search for Russ Knotts or check his website Home Page
Apple TV app on WebOS allows you to access Apple TV content.
The ATV4K device on the other hand replaces the WebOS altogether and becomes your UI for watching any content. Some prefer Apple's UI.
Almost 100% sure he is referring to the Summits, which had an original MSRP of $10,995 (ie. $11,000 in his presentation). He also said it had a woofer below and an electrostatic panel above and looks "cool" and "sexy", "good industrial design".
Before ML raised the prices a few years ago, new panels were around $700 or so if I remember correctly. Wouldn't that be nice! Then new panels can just be considered wear-and-tear items.
All active subs (which is what you want, passive ones require an external amplifier) will require mains power. Most will auto-detect an audio signal and go to standby when not in use.
I use a Descent to complement my Prodigies but ML subwoofers are probably not the most bang for the buck. SVS...
I took a look at Musical Fidelity | M6si Integrated Amplifier and it does have preamp outputs so you can just get any subwoofer that has left/right stereo inputs.
You can, but it's complicated and depends on the available outputs of your preamp and the inputs of the subwoofer.
Any subwoofer that only has LFE input will not work so you can strike those off.
If your preamp has additional preouts and your subwoofer has left/right inputs then you can...
No, projectors (except ancient CRT projectors) don't have burn-in issues. Check out the new ultra short throw laser projectors. When matched with an ALR (ambient light rejecting) screen they can look almost like a massive flat panel TV. No need for installation either, you just place it on a...
I have an excellent way to do this.
I'm using a Bryston amp which has both single-ended and balanced inputs. My home theater system connects to the amp via single-ended inputs, while my 2-channel system connects to it via balanced inputs.
I even have a Descent subwoofer connected to both - the...
I've been using a Bryston 4B SST with my Prodigies for over 10 years. Sounds great to me but I don't have anything else to directly compare with. Completely bulletproof; in all that time it never failed or went into shutdown/protection etc once.
If you don't care about off-axis viewers and assuming you have nice big ML left and right speakers, use a phantom/virtual channel. You'll be amazed how much better it is than a puny center.
I have both the Prodigy and Summit (Prodigy bought used from dealer with brand new panels, Summit bought new) and personally I prefer the Prodigy for the bigger soundstage. I do have a Descent to help the Prodigy's low end though, which is clearly not as deep as the Summit.
