If those are 20 yo panels, then they need to go. You will be amazed. That is a phenomenal speaker. Get the panels while you can. Not sure what your options are in London though.

I also dial my sub in by ear and for me, it always seems to be a "pinch". It was like that for the SL3 and now the same for the CLSII.

You will get more than adequate bass to start with an 11A or 13A (obviously go with the bigger panel if funds allow). Bass adjustment is very flexible and you have ARC. Then you can add subs to your hearts delight like TTOCS, but that requires some technical prowess to be done right- check...

I just replaced panels on a CLSII and they sound quite nice. I would make sure you see proof of the panel replacement since they are $2995.00. I paid $900.00 for mine with original panels but it included the Arcici stands which are nice and necessary. Not familiar w/ Acoustat power...

Congratulations! Pity you can't start playing something through them in the meantime. They take a significant amount of time to settle in. Enjoy.

Welcome. Beautiful system. Hums are usually a ground loop problem but will defer to others in the group. There is a process to work through. If the hum goes away once you are all ready to listen then great. I have a MFA D75 amp that sends a hum through the 11A's when I turn it on...

That is some serious wiring and signal manipulation. Impressive! The 13A's already have serious subs built in. What was your impression after adding the additional 4 subs? You may need additional structural reinforcement to the house!

Installed the new panels today and I am just blown away. The volume difference between the panels is gone, the bass has filled up nicely, and a midrange that is organic, engaging and intimate and pristine highs. Using the VTL's with 225W triode which doesn't hurt. This is out of the...

It would be interesting to know really how much demand there is for vintage panels. Since it seems ML is now the only source besides the fellow in Germany, wonder how many a month they do? It would seem to be a real niche business to start if one has the skill.

I have a 2 channel set up w/ the occasional sub. I had SL3's for 20 yrs and picked up 11A's last summer. Wonderful speaker. Suggest you check with ML support for suggestions about troubleshooting. Also work your way through the signal chain to make sure the problem is not upstream...

I also just received my replacement CLS II panels this week after placing the order in Oct. Brian was always responsive to my emails and I am looking forward to seeing how the panels sound. It's nice that there is still support for these 20+ year old speakers.
