Yeah. They degrade at the same rate, makes sense to me. Both panels are exposed to the exact same environment. I think they mostly degraded at the original owner's home.
Yeah. Right now I'm just using our family room for music and home theater. It sounds pretty good IMO, but I'm sure it could be much better. I've got no sound treatments and a hardwood floor.
My plan for the future is to build a home theater room in the basement, and for that I'll try to do...
Thanks for posting that. I learned a few things with that, especially about half wave length. My room is only about 25 feet deep. So when building a home theater, youd want that room to probably be close to 30 feet deep.
A lot of companies had trouble with their tech products during Covid because parts had to be sourced from not the usual source. Some parts were apparently not so great. Martin Logan even had some brief issues then.
The Marantz receivers I bought were before Covid though, so the problems I had...
Ive owned 2 Marantz receivers and my first one died after not a lot of use. It was in the basement as my 2ndary setup because I bought a new one with Atmos. The front left and right channels would fade in and out on it. Thankfully my newer Atmos receiver is ok for now. I kinda dont trust Marantz...
Do you work for a major gaming company? I'm big into pc gaming. Great job you have! Right now I'm playing Ubisoft's Immortals Fenyx Rising. It's much like Zelda.
Looks like a good setup to me. My only question is the atmos speakers. I guess you can't get speakers in the ceiling? I had someone come out and install 4 Martin Logans. It sounds great. I've read that some folks weren't too happy with the sound you get from atmos speakers not in the ceiling...
I did look at the forum and it still makes no sense. If it's just a box sitting in the room, how does it do anything? There has to be some kind of connection somewhere. Is it just like a sound treatment you hang on the wall? Hard to believe enough sound would pass through a box that small to...
Excellent, to listen to the speakers first. See if you have room to set up a receiver somewhere. I just run a longer than normal fiber optic cable from my pc sound card to the receiver. The sound I get on the 5.1 system is pretty ridiculously good for how much I spent on it. The Yamaha receiver...
I agree 100%. For my pc audio system I use a modest yamaha receiver and a 5.1 setup using Definitive speakers. The speakers are small desktop speakers and sound very good. The sub is great. I have the receiver on a shelf next to the desk so it's not on the desk.
I own a pair of Prodigy speakers and new panels from Martin Logan really made a huge difference. Other than that, everything is still original. Lots of guys on here have gone active crossover on older speakers.
I have it in my room to a minor degree, also stronger on the left side. I corrected mine by just having more toe in on the right speaker. Now the stage is in the middle. Try angling in the right speaker some. Just small movements seem to have a big effect.
The CLX pair is brand new, or new to you? Just curious. Its probably really hard to find a new unopened still in the box pair since they havent been made in a year or more. I cant remember when production stopped. Where did you find them?
